“Shamrock is a dream of a cottage. I will return for the 3rd Summer this year and will likely make it an annual event for the years to come. I travel extensively for work and play, so what brings me back? For someone who loves beautiful, unique design, this is the spot for you.

Most vacation rentals are cookie cutter and dated. Not Shamrock! It's well cared for, and has just about everything you need to relax by Lake Michigan. The area, the people, and food is a hidden gem. I almost don't write this review as I want it to remain a bit of a secret! For someone wanting a relaxing stay surrounded by great design, warm people and a gorgeous lake, you'll be happy and feel right at home here!”

Staying at this house has meant more to me than any other rental home l've ever stayed in, it is truly special and will wow you every time. Each detail is carefully considered, intentional and reflects the owners’ passion for design, beauty, and objects made with care. It is inherent from the layout of the home all the attention to detail that went into each decision from a design perspective to the types of bedding used, how the closet is constructed, how the gardens are laid out...all while maintaining austerity for function and minimalism with a tenderness for beauty. “Thank you for another wonderful stay at Shamrock House. What a warm and comfortable escape from the kids and dogs and the daily running around. It's a beautifully decorated and curated home away from home in the country. We loved the mix of old vintage feel with new and clean living space. Your choices and decisions are all spot on. Great light! Great kitchen! Great beds! We loved spending time in the closed-in private back yard area drinking coffee, reading the paper, and of course enjoying the hot tub. It was a very big added plus to have wonderful bakeries and restaurants so close by. We are counting the days until we can return. Thanks again!”
